OUR MISSION
Soul Saving Station of Saratoga Springs takes its inspiration from
Ezekiel 34:16 “I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed.”
The Lord says, “Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” As a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural ministry, The Soul Saving Station of Saratoga Springs seeks to minister to the total person through the uncompromising message of Jesus Christ. As a world-renowned ministry, we are committed to evangelizing the lost at any cost, equipping and empowering the people of God while embracing freedom in worship.
- We believe the Bible to be the infallible and authoritative word of God.
- We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three-person; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, and His virgin birth in His sinless life, and in His miracles.
- We believe in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection and His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over nations.
- We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
- We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
- We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
- We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.
- We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
- We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.

OUR HISTORY
At Soul Saving Station Church of Saratoga Springs, we are thankful to God for the many blessings that He has given us.. Our church was started by our founder and his wife, Pastors Billy and Betsy Roberts, in 1961, with 13 members. God used our founders to touch many lives through their powerful preaching, teaching, and radio ministries. Before God called them home, many in this community were touched by their ministry and their commitment to God.
Our God continued to move, and, in 1963, Rev. Alvin L. Tate was installed as pastor of this assembly. Through his ministry, our church grew, and in 1980,
we added a new sanctuary to our original building. Rev. Tate served this church along with his wife, Euodias Tate, who also was anointed by God to serve His people, until July 1980.
Upon the unexpected death of our late general overseer, Bishop Jesse H.
Winley, Pastor Tate was called to serve as bishop and general overseer of
the headquarters church in New York City. However, God continued to move, and Rev. and Mrs. Nathaniel Tate, son of our former pastor, became our new pastor for several months. He later felt called to be on the staff of the 700 Club in Virginia Beach, Va., under Pat Robertson’s ministry.
The church was without a pastor for several months. But our God continued
to move, and in November of 1981, the Rev. Arnold J. Byrd, former associate minister of the headquarters church in New York City, was chosen by God
to pastor the growing church in Saratoga Springs.
Pastor Arnold and Shelia Byrd have been used of God mightily in this city, county, and state, in spreading the Word of God. Many of our outreach
ministries, such as the Mother Anderson Emergency Shelter, a radio station,
two television broadcasts, a prayer center, counseling center, mission church thrift shop, Christ Crusader’s Bible Institute, and the list goes on, have been founded and supported by our pastors to enhance the lives of many people here and abroad.
In July of 2005, Pastor Byrd was highly honored by the Soul Saving Station organization and was installed and consecrated as bishop and assistant general overseer at the 63rd Annual Holy Convocation, in Raleigh, NC.
In July of 2012, Bishop Byrd was installed as the presiding bishop and general overseer at the 70th Annual Holy Convocation, in Greensboro, NC. Bishop and Pastor Shelia Byrd were used by God to not only serve this assembly, but also many of God’s people throughout this organization.
On Dec. 1, 2013, Bishop Byrd was called home to be with the Lord.
Pastor Shelia Byrd, served as senior pastor for 2 years.
On Nov. 2015, Pastor Arnold Byrd II became the Senior Pastor, at Soul Saving Station Saratoga. Pastor Arnold and his pastoral team, and Assistant Pastor Lee Larkins, and the deacons and deaconesses are continuing with the mantle that has been passed on to them.
To God be the glory, great things He has done. As a church family, we are thankful to God for allowing us to serve this community for over 50 years.
We will not stop seeking souls for the Kingdom of God and we are determined that every community, city, state, and nation will hear the Word of God (Mark 16: 15-16).
